The São José dos Campos Technology Park, a basic element in the town´s strategic development plan, forms a part of São Paulo Technology parks System, created by the São Paulo state government of February 6, 2006.

The nucleus of the park, named after the engineer Riugi Kojima, is located in a buldind acquired by the municipal government, situated in an area of 188.000 square meters bordering on the Dutra highway, 12 km north-east of São José dos Campos.

The central administration is exercised by the São José dos Campos Technology park Association, a legally constituted independent non-profit-making controlling body, qualified as a Social Organization by the municipal authority, under signed contract. The association is tasked with administering the park, with the functions of inducing, articulating, regulating and overseeing the activities implanted in the Park.
